GoneGod World is a hilariously dark urban fantasy novel with an imaginative twist. If you like gritty worlds, reimagined mythology and shadowy mysteries, then you’ll love Ramy Vance’s divinely comedic adventure.

***

Welcome to the One Spire Inn, the only hotel in town that accepts fairy tale monsters as guests.

Can a retired monster-hunter and an inebriated fallen angel keep these new guests in line?

Jean-Luc Matthias promised to help these wayward mythical creatures... a promise he plans on keeping even if it figuratively or (the more probable option) literally kills him. Too bad he's a man of his word.

But preparing fae, succubi, poltergeists, and twice-fallen angels for mortal life is just the start of his problems.

A powerful demon is terrorizing the city. And what’s worse, the creature’s bloody deeds are exhuming Jean-Luc’s past.

A past that could destroy everything he's built.

But if the creature isn't stopped, it might just trigger the apocalypse. Again.

Now Jean-Luc has a choice to make: Stay quiet and hope the storm blows over, or dust off his slayer instincts, thus risking everything and everyone.

Addictive like the rest. It answers questions but there are always more to pull you in. Full of characters you love and hate.

You will slip into this world to feel what it like to be imperfect but noble. In the face of personal and world level disasters is where you meet your truest self. Jean-Luc is the who you will see, feel, hear and taste this world of abandonment.

So much action and dialogue. Not everyone dies but you will want Kleenex. Faith, doubt, hope and lots of bad guys are exhausting. Some editing and possible continuity errors. The story arc is twisty so it is hard to tell.

The GoneGodWorld continues with Jean, Bella, and a twice fallen Angel that literally creates his own personal Hell. A wild ride of fantasy fun awaits. And pain. Lots of pain.

Very easy to read and great value. Part of the Gone God's adventure. The most adult boxed set, with a few 4 letter words n mild sexy bits. I could pick holes in it. Bit repetitive, repeats the "whys n whos" a bit but I'm not a professor of literature so just enjoyed it... Alot.

I have had this book for awhile and finally opened it and couldn't put it down! I really enjoyed the characters and the plot kept me hooked

It was hard at first for me to get into the book, as it refers to a lot of the main characters past and you don't start getting into that till you get further in. Now that I've finished the box series though I will be keeping my eyes open for the next as I'm truly curious to see how everything will play out for Jean. Wonderful references to the "fairy tales" and supernatural.

The entire GoneGods Series, from any perspective, is a lot of fun to read. I like learning about other religions, mythologies, and Others. I enjoy this perspective because it's that of an adult with real problems like paying bills (as opposed to the perspective of vampire turned wealthy college student Kat in the Mortality Bites/Mortality Bound series), losing his wife, and all the things that adulthood brings. The character of Jean is very unique and he's a great protagonist! Wish there was more ro read already... could make a good TV series lol

Very addictive read. I find it difficult to put my kindle down as I want to find out how it all ends. Annoying catchphrases throughout the book though that is very repetitive and really no need for.

Really liked that Jean was a normal guy. Not drop dead gorgeous, not over the top strong or athletic but a good soul who did terrible bad things. He was conflicted and somehow ends up doing right and loving completely. He really shouldn’t have been a hero. He was not great but he does grab ahold of you and you want to keep reading to know what happens. The book has many layers of gray. Great evolution of characters.

This was a really long and intense series. The action never seemed to let up all the way to the end. The only issue that I have is that the ending left too many unresolved questions and even a cliffhanger.

This guy just can’t get a break, and still he keeps on going. Another page turner from this author that you don’t want to put down.

What happens to demigods and the creatures of myth and legend when the Gods depart? They become mortal, crash into Earth’s awareness, and get jobs just like the rest of us. And this book is about that.Told partially in flashback, partially in dream, we follow one human on his quest to fulfill a promise, and follow a dream that once belonged to his beloved wife.I don’t want to give any of the story away, because it is such an original concept and implementation. Careful reading, however, is required—not just to follow what setting you’re in, but to follow the small details that suddenly become huge points chapters later. Multiple times I found myself tracking back just to reread a small detail that became big, because it just didn’t seem like a big deal at the time—which is nice storytelling, but combined with the multiple timelines and “realities,” made for some confusion on my part at times.Don’t let the notable spelling error upfront put you off; while there are a few small errors here and there, none are so egregious as the first one.Definitely worth a read if you’re a fan of Butcher or Hines.

Congratulations to Ramy Vance for this series. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next series.
